24hr Emergency

The hospital offers a 24-hour Emergency Department with two spacious trauma bays and seven private exam rooms, inpatient and outpatient medical services, and a Progressive Care Unit which provides telemetry services.

Radiology

The Radiology Department offers digital imaging services including basic radiography, digital fluoroscopy, CT, nuclear medicine and ultrasound. The department also offers digital mammography services for the area.

Our Surgery Center, with advanced equipment, houses a six-bed pre-op area and four spacious surgical suites. An updated admissions department and waiting areas to provide a more comfortable experience for our customers.

Wound Care

The Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center - Jamestown houses 2 spacious treatment rooms and two advanced hyperbaric chambers to provide care for non-healing wounds.

Our Team

michael alexander rennova

Michael Alexander, FACHE

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Alexander is a highly accomplished and experienced Operations Executive specialized in hospital administration and healthcare operations in both not-for-profit as well as for-profit environments.

Michael has over 30 years’ experience within the healthcare industry. Prior to his role as CEO of Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Mr. Alexander spent nearly 10 years as Hospital Administrator with Tanner Health Systems in Georgia, where he managed overall operations of two hospitals, a 25-bed joint commission-accredited Critical Access Hospital with over $98 million in revenue and over 22,000 ED visits per year, and a 40 bed facility in neighboring Alabama where he was able to turn around the operations of a struggling facility and lead the successful effort to build a new replacement hospital for the community. He also spent almost 10 years at Candler (Candler) County Hospital, Georgia where he was responsible for managing the overall day-to-day operations, performance, quality, and leadership of the facility.

Michael has also managed the operations of a physician staffing company as well as other hospitals. He has a proven record of success in cost control, performance improvement, government and community relations, facility design and construction and staff/budget management. Mr. Alexander has a B.S. in Psychology from Troy University, Troy, Alabama, and an M.S. in Community Counseling from Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia.

Amy Cooper Jamestown Regional

Regional controller

Amy Cooper is the Regional Controller for both Jamestown Regional Medical Centre and Big South Fork Medical Center.

She oversees all aspects of the Accounting Departments in each facility, completing all local regulatory finance filings and managing the Medicare Cost Reports for both facilities. Amy has worked for Jamestown Regional Medical Centre for over fifteen years, gaining experience in all areas of the Accounting Department and throughout the organisation. Amy graduated from Roane State Community College, Tennessee in May 2002 with a degree in Business Management with a concentration in Accounting.

Tammy Gibson Jamestown Regional

Tammy Gibson

Chief Nursing Officer/Chief Quality Officer

Tammy Gibson has acted as Chief Quality Officer and Chief Nursing Officer at Jamestown Regional Medical Center since 2012.

Prior to this, Tammy worked for the parent company at another facility for 12 years where she served as the OB Director, Employee Health Nurse, and Education Coordinator. Tammy is responsible for developing and sharing clinical best practices, providing leadership to nursing, and supporting nursing as they provide quality, compassionate care. She provides oversight and support to the department directors and their staff to develop and implement strategies to advance quality. She also directs the Survey Management/Survey Readiness team which assists the affiliate with regulatory, accreditation and certification surveys. Tammy works with her team to identify any potential risks that may hinder the reputation, safety, security, and financial prosperity of the organization. Tammy received her Associate Degree in 1995 from Roane State Community College. In 2009, Tammy received her BSN from South University. While attending South University, Tammy was inducted into the Honor Society of Nursing, graduating with honors. In 2013, Tammy received her MSN from Western Governors University.
